John M. Kaptan
John Kaptan is a skilled negotiator who uses reason and tact to achieve successful outcomes on behalf of his clients. John wants to understand your case and work with you to develop a strategic plan for getting the best results possible with speed and efficiency. He thrives at negotiating settlements inside and outside of the courtroom.
John’s 12 years of active duty service in the United States Navy included multiple deployments and work in the Defense Attaché Office at U.S. Embassy, Paris. During two assignments as a Legal Officer, LCDR Kaptan prepared dozens of wills and powers of attorney for deploying Sailors. He developed a nuanced understanding of the adversarial process as a Court Martialing Officer, representing commands in UCMJ hearings and counseling Sailors trapped by predatory leasing and lending practices.
